Alvin R. Webber
Alvin was admitted to the California State Bar in 1986. He represented injured workers at Mastagni Holstedt from 1986 to 1988. From 1988 to 1991, Alvin was a staff attorney with Hanna & Brophy, representing employers and compensation carriers. Alvin was in private Applicant's practice in Stockton from 1991 to 1998. Alvin joined the WCAB as a WCJ in 1998 and worked in the Stockton office until 2018. He is currently a staff attorney with the Stockton office of Mullen & Filippi.
Alvin earned his B.A. in Philosophy at California State University, Sacramento in 1982 and his J.D. from Lincoln Law School in 1986.
Alvin is a current member of the California State Bar. He has taught workers' compensation law at Humphries School of Law, U.C. Davis and PIWC. He is a past president of the workers' compensation section of the San Joaquin County Bar Association.
My proudest single legal accomplishment to date has been the successful defeat of the "Pick-N-Pull ERISA" effort to dismantle the California workers' compensation system.
I enjoy playing tournament racquetball, motorcycling, flying and playing practical jokes upon my friends.
