Sara Angelini was hired as an Associate at Mullen & Filippi in 2002 and was elevated to Associate Partner in 2006. She continued with the firm until leaving in 2009 to pursue other interests. In 2018, Sara returned to Mullen & Filippi as an Associate. Her entire career has focused on Workers’ Compensation defense, representing employers, third-party administrators, and insurance carriers. She is familiar with all WCAB offices in Northern California.
Sara received her law degree from Golden Gate University in 2001. In 1998 she earned her Master of Science degree in Reproductive Physiology from West Virginia University after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science. However, after graduate school, the call of the legal profession was stronger than that of veterinary medicine, and she elected to go to law school.
Sara is a member of the State Bar of California and served as legal counsel to the South Bay ICA.
What I appreciate most about Workers’ Compensation is the creativity needed to negotiate and craft settlements that not only benefit my clients but also make applicant’s attorneys enjoy working with me. Litigation is an adversarial process, but human relations – compassion and understanding – pave the path to efficient and economic settlements.
Outside of law, I love the creative process. I have published a novel and contributed to an anthology, and I love to paint and cross stitch. Art and music keep the soul alive. I am happy to have passed this knowledge along to my three brilliantly creative children.
